This is my PERSONAL experience with Dr. Harvey H. Breckner DMD, MS

I was diagnosed with severe periodontal disease, gingivitis and bone loss resulting from Type II diabetes. I went to my wife’s dentist but he did not feel that he could handle a case this severe, so he highly recommended that I go to Dr. Harvey Breckner D.M.D., MS, as he was supposed to be the ‘best” in the St. Louis Metro region.

DR. HARVEY H. BRECKNER CREDENTIALS FROM HIS WEBSITE: “Dr. Harvey H. Breckner has been treating the general and advanced dentistry needs of patients for more than 25 years. His highly-trained background includes earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) from SIU-E School of Dental Medicine and an advanced Master of Science (MS) degree in Prosthodontics from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio. He subsequently completed a fellowship in implant dentistry at The Ohio State University School of Dentistry.”

I went to see Dr. Harvey H. Breckner D.M.D., MS and after his initial examination he determined that all of my teeth would need to be extracted and I would be fitted with dentures. He quoted us $18,000 for this procedure. We thought the price was high but knowing that there was a lot of damage and work to be done, we went ahead with the procedure. We paid cash.

After all of the teeth were extracted (except for three in the bottom front to anchor the bottom denture) and I healed for a week, I was fit with dentures. Right away I realized that there was a problem. I could not keep the dentures in my mouth, let alone eat with them. I went back to Dr. Harvey H. Breckner D.M.D., MS several times and had the dentures “adjusted” but I still could not keep them in let alone eat with them.

After the fourth adjustment of the top denture within a few weeks, Dr. Harvey H. Breckner D.M.D., MS told me that he figured that I would have a problem with my upper dentures because I have a very flat pallet (a shallow pallet). His next solution was to spend another $4,000 dollars to put a couple of plugs in the remaining bottom teeth and in the bottom denture to hold the dentures in. Needless to say we were very disturbed by this. We went ahead and spent the $4,000 for the bottom plugs – but the bottom dentures were still not stable and would not stay in if I opened my mouth wide enough to eat with utensils. We then discussed the next step so I could eat with teeth. We were quoted $40,000 - $60,000 more for bone grafts (done by a surgeon) and then receive implants for the upper teeth.

The final straw was when I went back for a cleaning of the three remaining bottom teeth and I was charged over $230.00. That's when I decided to find another doctor.

My major issue with Dr. Harvey Breckner D.M.D., MS was that he never sat down with my wife and I at the beginning to discuss ALL the options nor told me that I would have a problem eating with the dentures, let alone just keeping them in my mouth.

Breckner recommended dentures knowing that I had a shallow pallet and bone loss and the dentures would not stay in my mouth. What an asshole!

When I complained about the dentures not staying in my mouth and not being able to eat with them, his solution was to spend another $40,000-$60,000 to have implants just for the uppers still having to use the denture with plugs for the bottom denture (which still would not stay in). Dr Harvey Breckner did not care about what was right for me as his patient, but was just interested in making and much money as he could.

READ THIS  ─► Dr. Harvey H. Breckner told me (he called me to see why I haven’t been back in 3 years) that the cost of cleaning, a fluoride treatment, and two x-rays — for 3 teeth — AND his cost to sterilize the equipment (one pick and a mirror was used) to clean my three (3) teeth was the reason why my bill was $230.00.

After consulting with several implant specialists over a period of three years, a recommendation from the last dentist I saw was to call Clear Choice. All of the doctors that we consulted with were very surprised at the approach that Dr. Harvey H. Breckner D.M.D., MS took with me and felt that he not only did not do what was in my best interest, but had vastly over-charged me for the work Dr. Harvey H. Breckner already did. The more we talked to other doctors, the more we felt like we had been taken advantage of by Dr. Harvey H. Breckner D.M.D., MS. He was supposed to be the expert. I do not believe that he did not know that I would not be able to wear dentures. As far as I am concerned his treatment of me was not only unprofessional and unethical, but, most important to Dr. Harvey H. Breckner, was to line his pockets.

My experience at ClearChoice was the exact opposite. They were very professional and I felt that they cared about me and wanted to help me return to a better quality of life. I have had both top and bottom implants done at ClearChoice, in one day, and could not be happier. For the first time in three years I have teeth I can eat with and I can be confident that I am not going to lose my dentures when I open my mouth. The price was also very reasonable compared to what Dr. Harvey H. Breckner was trying to charge me. I wish I had gone to ClearChoice in the beginning. Not only would I have been given the correct solution to start with, but I would also have saved over $22,000.

BRECKNER'S ATTORNEY INVOLVEMENT:
Dr. Harvey Breckner had an attorney call me to "take down" this website. After getting bullied some, I stated that the website stays up. It is my right to post my personal experiences and thus it is not slander. The Attorney said if they go to court, the Judge would order me to take-down the webite. My reply was that I would move my website off-shore and the U.S. courts would have no jurisdiction.

When asked "What would it take to delete the website?" I replied that I did not want anything as my only goal was to help other potential patients of Breckner before they too wasted their hard-earned money. I let the attorney know that my asking for ANYTHING would be extortion; but that was a nice try!

It was the first and last time I heard from that Law Firm.

MY CLEAR CHOICE SOULTION:
I now have permanent upper and lower full implants from ClearChoice. I am able to eat everything and anything (including steak) without a single problem. As a matter of fact, the only time I remember that they are implants is when I brush my teeth. ClearChoice has changed my life. I haven't stopped smiling and laughing since I received the permanent implants.

Dr. Harvey Breckner has someone put up a website called "Go To Dr Harvey Breckner" gotodrharveybreckner to countermand this honest review of my PERSONAL, first hand experience.

Don't be fooled by a fancy website www.brecknerdental.com with stock photos, or a Facebook page. It's all fluff. I hope this honest review of my experience with Harvey Breckner will help potential patients avoid what I went through and spend their hard-earned money with an honorable dentist.

Take it from a person who threw-away over $22,000.
